i'm going to torture myself for weeks over what i want to include as a single, if i don't lay down some kind of rules. but, i don't want to lay down rules. so, will i torture myself for weeks, then?

i think a rule of thumb needs to be that the track needs to exist across almost all of the iterations. but, i also want to do this chronologically.

i've all but ruled out "fuck the dead". i can construct a 35 minute ep-single, but there's only really two fundamentally different mixes present (and several variations on them). instead, i'm considering placing a "punk" ep at the beginning of january that combines a number of the "punkier" style tracks, which largely stopped about that time, or morphed into things more recognizable as electronic music.

i want this all worked out by the end of the day, so expect a number of posts before i sleep next - and the basic shape of the first period discography to be finalized within 48 hours.
