opened up cubase, and it lost the highs. that's definitely driver, which takes me back to the headphone issues ultimately being secondary.

i'm very convinced that there was cause and effect on opening cubase. what i've done for the moment is reinstall the drivers. i'll have to see if that's enough to get me back to the sweet spot.

obviously, i need to be able to open cubase....

if it falls back in place, i'm going to try reinstalling the streaming proxy first and then disabling it second. if it doesn't, i'm going to skip to disabling it.
