i at least got some shots of my other retired shirts before i moved out of my last place. i'm going to expect compensation in the form of replacement shirts that i can wear back down to worthless rags, and then place on my wall.

a bunch of shots and laminated them for me...
missing here is a corgan poster, also from a guitar world inset c. 1995, that had his "siamese dream strat" (with the lace censor pickups, that made the best guitar tone ever) front and center. i don't know what happened to that, but i'm very saddened by it's departure.

i also had a really swell massive genesis tour poster from 1973 (i think) with gabriel in flower costume. i think i may be able to relocate this one...
missing would be a similar sketch that an ex made of me. she has dozens, perhaps hundreds, of sketches of me. or, at least, she used to. she's been coy about the continued existence of these sketches. it was a nice sketch of me playing, but precisely what i was doing is not really the value of the sketch. i may be able to get a replacement sketch...
also missing: my certificate of provenance. now, that's a downer. how am i supposed to demonstrate my provenance without my certificate? i'd just send off an email to the band, but they're kind of both dead, so i guess i'm fucked with that one....

after a two year hiatus, the studio is finally back
seriously? yes, seriously. finally...
.....and everything else in that corner set up.
i have some cleaning to do tonight, and a number of small pieces of furniture (tables mostly) to make or find over the next few months, but i'm now done the things i can do with the things that i have.

well, i actually unboxed the other shelving unit. ha.
i had to leave a lot of furniture in ottawa, including the speaker tables i had for my studio. it turns out those shelves are the perfect size, and the shelves themselves are really useful for storing cords and stuff. there's a picture attached.
the decent thing for me to do is to offer to buy the shelves. if i stay here for 10-15 years, you just bought me furniture - which would be very kind, but is well beyond your obligations as a landlord. if i move out next year, i think i'll probably want to take them with me because the size is ideal. so, i don't know what they cost, but i can just add that cost to the next rent check.
